Ingredients

1.Millet – Any type ( I have used
Barnyard Millet)

1 cup

2.Curd
|
1 Cup
|
3.Oil
|
2 Tblsp
|
4.Mustard & Jeera
|
Each ¼ Tsp
|
5.Onion –Chopped
|
½ Cup
|
6.Red Chilies
|

7.Curry leaves
|
A Few
|
8.Cashews
|
5 – Optional

9.Salt
|
To taste

10.Water

As required
|
1.Wash the millets well & Soak them in water for Min 30 mins (Longer they soak easy to cook)
2.Add millets to Pressure cooker with 2.5 cups
of water (1 cup millet =2.5 cups of water)
3.Pressure cook for 2 whistles in medium
flame.
5.In a kadai add 2 Tbsp of oil.
6.Once heated add Mustard & Jeera.
7.Once they splutter add cashews,red Chilies and wait for
them to turn brown.
8. Now add curry leaves & onions and cook
till they turn translucent.
10.Once the cooked millet cools down add 1 cup
of curd and mix them well.
11.Add Salt + water as required and mix well.
12.Now add the cooked onion to the curd rice,
Mix well & serve.
